Commission Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month, in Room 402A of the County Administration Building, commencing at 12pm. In the event that the first Monday is a holiday, the meeting is held on the second Monday of the month. All Commission Meetings are open to the public. Those who have concerns about the status of women may present their concerns during Public Comment. Every second month the Commission invites speakers to address the topics that relate to the Commission Initiatives. The Commission operates under the Brown Act and Robert’s Rules of Order.
The Commission receives funds from the County of San Diego through the Community Enhancement and Neighborhood Reinvestment Programs. The Commission may receive funds from the public to finance its projects and events. Contact the commision through the Assistant to the Commission.
The Commission welcomes and appreciates volunteers who wish to serve on any of the following Committees: Domestic Violence, Homelessness and Human Trafficking. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out this form with your name and contact information.
These are smaller gatherings; however, volunteers would be greatly appreciated to staff and assist with these events. Approximately five volunteers are needed for each.
