Rachel Cano is a Deputy District Attorney for the San Diego District Attorney’s office. She has spent the majority of her twenty-three years as a prosecutor specializing in the prosecution of sexual assault cases and has an avid interest in seeking justice for these types of crimes against women. Rachel has appeared on national television discussing her sexual assault cases and has been actively involved in the community promoting women’s issues and mentoring teenage girls, female law students and young female lawyers. She is currently the Chief of the South Bay branch office. Rachel also co-founded San Diego Professionals Against Cancer, a non-profit organization to raise funds for cancer research, treatment and services, and has been organizing events for 20 years to reach those fundraising goals.
